The Yahoo Mobile Developer Conference is on August 26, with a Mobile Hackathon being hosted on Tuesday August 25. .

The Hackathon is an opportunity for mobile developers to come together and hack around the Yahoo Mobile Developer suite. During the hackathon, you will have the opportunity to learn about the latest in mobile technology, build mobile apps, and get feedback from industry leaders. We will also have some of our mobile experts on hand to provide support and mentorship during the hackathon.

We have three areas for hackers to focus on:

Yahoo App Publishing Come up with innovative presentations and engaging ad experiences that enhance the user experience with ads, particularly with native ads.

Search-in-Apps Enhance your mobile apps with the power of Yahoo search. Quickly add Yahoo Search results and ads to your app, keeping your users engaged with your app and content.

Tumblr API Find fun and innovative way to integrate Tumblr into your apps using the Tumblr API.

Your mobile hack should use at least one of these.

The Hack will run from 9am to 6pm with all meals being provided for. Developer participating in the Hackathon will have access to Yahoo Mobile Developer Conference the following day, where we will announce the winners. Apple watches will be awarded to all the winners.
