The NHS recommends walking 10000 steps (~5 miles) a day. http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/loseweight/Pages/10000stepschallenge.aspx Few people do. With apps like CityMapper, it's easy to navigate London as fast as possible, but maybe it would be better to be a little slower and a little healthier? Walk One Stop finds public transport routes, but balances speed with exercise - for example getting off the bus or tube one stop early and walking the rest of the way. Walk One Stop tracks your progress, and gradually increases the distance it suggests you walk. It also looks for opportunities to save on your Oyster fare - for example by walking to a zone 2 tube station rather than a nearer zone 3 one. It totals these savings up and easily allows you to donate them to the charity of your choice.
