This could be highly effective way for individuals to feed into the same idea. Platforms such as this require viral growth through the use of social networks, so you should look to immediately integrate wherever possible. I would not try to implement financial fundraising. That's a tough project and could come after or in integration with your site (such as with Kickstarter).
