Thomas, the hackathon.io interface is making it hard to reply to you directly. Thanks for the kind words! We are minimizing privacy concerns by not showing the usernames of people who are in the lead. This will effectively prevent people from figuring out who has been where. Right now it is individual, but we would like to add a team mode. People would be able to join a team, and pool points to compete against other teams.

Thanks! Eventually we hope to add achievements, like "take your first step in a new tile" that will boost the points that neophytes get. Coupled with teams, this could help encourage people to get into fitness.

Very clever. Definitely like this. Some privacy concerns RE how well you could stalk someone with this info. The app looks very polished already, which is quite impressive. Is this an individual turf war? Team based?
