About this event

Hackathon is an event, typically lasting several days, in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming. We look past this traditional definition of a hackathon and take it to new heights.

The students are supposed to develop their hack in 24 hours which must be based on the theme provided during the event. We expect IT Hacks which are in the domain of mobile, web, cloud, analytics etc.

Here’s your chance to join the brilliant developers, inspiring designers, and innovative creators from across the state. We provide a terrific space for hacking, great food and amazing prizes.

You don’t have to be a pro. If this be your first hackathon, we can’t wait to expose you to the world of creation, all it takes is a willingness to try something new

Rules

 TEAM SIZE: Only team participation is allowed. You can have at most 4 members in your team. Only students are allowed to participate.  DURATION: The hackathon will be conducted for 24 hour...

 TEAM SIZE: Only team participation is allowed. You can have at most 4 members in

your team. Only students are allowed to participate.

 DURATION: The hackathon will be conducted for 24 hours. The event will start at

2.00 pm on 13-01-17 and end by 2.00 pm on 14-01-17.

 SUBMISSIONS: Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your

hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as

the final submission. The team that does not submit the code before the deadline will

be disqualified.

 REQUIREMENTS: Your laptop, charger and anything else you’ll need to hack on.

 TOPIC: This is a theme based hackathon. The topic will be provided atleast one hour

before the commencement of the event.

 JUDGEMENT: More weightage will be given to the idea of application and execution

practices used to achieve the desired goal. Hacks will also be judged based on the

originality, technical difficulty, impressiveness as well as potential marketability.

 FRESH CODE: You can come with ideas, but no code can be written prior to the

event .Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration.

 OWNWERSHIP AND IP: The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your

team.

 VIOLATIONS: Rebuilding already existing products and copyrighted items are not

permitted.

Teams that do not comply with the above rules will be disqualified
