About
StrobeLight is a cross-platform service that simplifies the arduous process of rescue work. When disaster strikes, StrobeLight provides a database onto which anyone can upload details and a picture of their missing family member or friend. The secret ingredient: StrobeLight’s facial recognition software which allows rescue workers to efficiently match the missing and the rescued. This addresses the significant issue of gathering information from rescue victims when they are unconscious, in shock, or when they speak a different language. Furthermore, it allows rescue workers to strategically plan their deployment based on real-time data of last known whereabouts and rescue locations. In rescue work, every second matters. The difference that StrobeLight makes in rescue work may be the difference between life and death and is a prime example of how code can in fact be used to save lives.
