SOEK pTtags is an offshoot product of team Soek for the social good.The system use bluetooth low energy beacons to identify public transport vehicles.Each public transport vehicle(jeepney, tricycles, buses) will be provided with a BLE beacon with a unique identification number corresponding to its registration plate number.A mobile application will detect these beacons and corresponding legal information for the public like the vehicles plate number registration, LTFRB case number and the name of the operator will be displayed on the screen.The purpose of the app is for the general public to be aware that the transport that they ride on is truly authentic and legally registered.This app will detect colorums and will prevent crimes perpetuated through illegal public transport (kidnapping, rapes, car napping).A component of the system will also upload on the cloud a log of public transport vehicles a person has ridden in the last few hours.The update of the cloud database will be done by the authorized government agency in charge of public transport.
