About

A mobile to web application delivered to visitors through a free sim card pack at places of maximum footfall. This targets 3 key personas – the convention visitor, the long haul stopover visitor, and family and friend visitors. This app is feature-rich, geographically located, and hooked up to social and location data. An algorithm harvests this data and pushes real-time information on local attractions to visitors. Fast delivery of relevant information showcasing the richness of Singapore culture is linked to a powerful back end delivery of real time data back to the tourism industry. Both the web and app allows tourist attractions (including hotels, shops and restaurants) access to the real-time data they need to assist in generating additional revenue through a paid for extranet dashboard. This is both demand- and supply-side model. The demand-side aims to increase tourist revenue by 1% per annum over 5 years, adding $1.2 billion of additional revenue to the Singapore economy through increased stay. The supply-side is focused on giving tourist attractions (including shops, restaurants, and hotels) smart, connected data to enable them to fine tune their marketing efforts. The commercialisation is through the sale of the extranet to individual attractions. On an estimate of 10,000 attractions (including hotels, shops, restaurants), the commercialisation is estimated at over $2m income per annum. With an estimated cost of less than half a million.
