About
The ‘Tesla and Tollbooth on the Blockchain’ UAE GovHack Hackathon Submission. ***** Our proof of concept toll booth and Tesla system REPLACES toll road server infrastructure with a $1 smart contract, REDUCES the credit card transaction fees between the parties from 3% to .01%, PROVIDES instantaneous remittance, and PROVES a model where the toll rate can be automatically reduced to a road maintenance fee once the road infrastructure is paid for. ***** Our Oaken platform makes 'ACORNs', for each physical application with the real world - IoT Machines with Autonomous Communication Over Redundant Nodes. Our simple platform design uses Nodejs to interact with the gpio of the machine where hardware can be monitored and controlled. Our secure hardware environment utilizes Secure Elements in each acorn to protect against external threats. Acorns each have a special purpose, but can be easily scaled and replicated for multiple applications. ***** For our UAE Govhack hackathon submission we have created an automobile acorn, that we’ve connected to a Tesla, and a tollbooth acorn. The Tesla and the tollbooth interact via RFID, the ethereum blockchain and IPFS to seamlessly pay toll. ***** ***** Github Repo: https://github.com/project-oaken/ ***** Live Demo: http://tollboothdapp.projectoaken.com/production ***** Contact Email: projectoaken@gmail.com ***** Submission Video: https://youtu.be/XyRQLRfzvcM *****
