About
One of the biggest challenges in design is getting your end user to be honest with you. Not everyone wants to tell you what they struggle with, avoid, or do if they think it's embarrassing. Since we're a group of college students designing for a college campus, we can say this in all honesty-we feel spammed by our own university. We get so many emails that don't fit our schedule, we don't bother to open most of them before we delete them. The sad truth is, by doing so we're doing ourselves a disservice. We often miss out on valuable resources and opportunities that are only available to us because we're college students. Our solar powered charging station will make sure students not only stay connected but also informed on what is happening on campus THAT DAY. The solar panels will generate enough power to not only charge cell phones but also power a small screen keeping students in the loop about campus activities and local business that support our school-further developing industry/student relationships. "Perfect, I'm here anyway. I'll catch the next train so I can go to the 3D-printing workshop, I've always wanted to learn more about that and it's open to any Villanova student!"
