OVERVIEW: The Party Canon is a photography station which automatically takes photographs of groups of people, or can be operated manually for more precision. It is intended as an interactive station for events, which would be sold to event facilities and rental vendors. ______ ADVANTAGES: Party Canon automatically takes photos of the event over time and can be placed in the middle of the action between banquet tables or on a dance floor instead of off in a corner, as opposed to photo booths or selfie stations. _____ IMPLEMENTATION: The control software we have developed incorporates a heuristic scoring system, telling the camera when to take a photo based on the presence of faces, the number of faces, movement within the frame, and a number of temporal factors.
