About
Introduction: One on One mobile application enables users to engage with their local communities through the sports activities they are most interested in. One on One helps you get healthy while establishing friendships within your local community. This location based app creates fun and engaging experiences between like minded people. This app is not only great for improving user’s physical and mental health, but also for expanding their networks and creating and sharing new experiences with existing networks. Problem Description: The Millennial generation (40% of the US demographic) is the first to see rising rates of early-onset obesity-related diseases. In fact, the proportion of young adults between 18 and 29 years of age who are obese has more than tripled in the past forty years, from 8 percent in 1971-1974 to 24 percent in 2005-2006. Basically, one-third of millennials are obese. Today's young people have also experienced a significant drop in physical activity in school as compared to their parents' generation. Almost two-thirds of young adults do not engage in regular leisure-time physical activity resulting in loss of productivity at work and rising insurance costs. In addition, millennials are the most stressed-out generation (scale of 5.5/10) and almost half of them admit to not doing enough to manage their stress. Solution: One on One facilitates causal competition between residents of the same community. It helps to foster friendships while creating a sense of engagement and well-being in local communities. Exercise can relieve stress, reduce depression and improve cognitive function. In addition, physical activity increases overall well being and reduces cardiovascular diseases. Millennials are known to be attached to their mobile devices and they are constantly looking for activities that further engage them with their respective communities. Target Market One on One will be targeted towards millennials. Millennials make up 25% of the world’s population. There are 7.2M millennials in Canada and approx. 85M millennials in the US. In fact by 2030, 75% of the working population of the US will comprise of Millennials. This provides a huge opportunity for brands to influence positive and healthy behaviours in already engaged consumers. Go to Market Strategy Promotion The application will be marketed on social networks online by fitness brands, increasing user engagement levels. Through the application brands will be able to positively influence well being of their consumers. As consumers increase their physical activity statistics within the application, they receive coupons and promotions from the brands. One on One acts as a marketing platform for stores like Lululemon, Nike, Sporting Life, Sport Check, Footlocker etc. Place Google play store, Apple app store Price Free for user Value Proposition Physical and mental health benefits for consumers Increased productivity at work Increased concentration at college / universities Strengthening of local communities Increase in sales for brand Opportunity to analyze data about consumer health and well being and spending habits Revenue Generation One on One aims to generate revenue through the following activities: Direct marketing for brands Analysis of data on consumer health and spending habits
