About
OctoPlug is an app ecosystem that allows users of BeagleBone boards to share apps and customize their hardware to suit their needs by cherry-picking the desired functions from a simple web interface. For example, a user could use their hardware to track movement at their home while they are on vacation, but when they arrive home from the vacation and no longer need the motion-tracker, they can simply flash the board with a new firmware to remotely open doors, or track the weather.

Neat idea, but it's not clear how you differentiate yourselves from other hardware / internet of things appliances. This is pretty awesome and I'd be extremely excited to see the software open sourced, since I can see it taking off with hackers!

Downloadable apps for Raspberry Pi and other IOT devices is very cool. Not sure that it will be feasible to beat OEM stores like http://store.raspberrypi.com/projects
