About

Allows the user to tag each transaction with a memo keyword or phrase to give it contextual meaning. APIs Account Balances (US Bank) Account Transactions (US Bank) Tags can be across different accounts for the same user, allowing you to collate transactions from Checking, Credit Card, etc... Memo tags can be kept in a simple table [Account][Tran ID][Memo Tag]

I am also asking 'why'. As in, why is this needed? I don't understand how the data will be used after transactions are tagged. It seems like what a Quicken user would already be doing.

why we bought something, lilke when you look on a crdit card statement, can't rmember why you bought something, memo keywork/phrase, is this enriching the data after trx is processes, banking apps already support this, need to do it realtime

I like the idea, but it might be hard to have a consistent memo tag over time. Some time would be spent reconciling, but it does allow more detail.
