Inspired from "NextDoor" - a US-based social networking service for neighborhoods, "kapitbahay" is an SMS and Web-based bulletin board service for neighborhoods in the Philippines. In "kapitbahay", one baranggay is considered a single neighborhood. “kapitbahay” allows users to share information about safety, security, selling opportunities, news, or events anonymously within their neighborhood. They can view these information posted by their neighbors via Web or receive thru SMS feeds.
