The project aims to reduce the chance for a rear end collision by alerting the drivers behind a motorcycle effectively . A brake light can fail due to a malfunction in the sensor switch,relay,bulb or an electrical problem.The smart helmet senses the deceleration of the vehicle and thus is much more reliable.The helmet being the tallest part of the vehicle will further improve visibility.The helmet will also have an immobilizer system which prevents the use of the vehicle when the helmet is not in close proximity .This will promote the use of helmets and also acts as an effective anti theft device.The device can be installed on helmets or can be integrated into a helmet by manufacturers.
