Great job speaking while demoing the product at the same time! Education and social media are a great ways approach to solving the serious drought problem. I think you have a good starting point but unfortunately the UI was a little messy which might discourage users from using it.

I think this is a really novel way to bring water conservation knowledge to the masses. A tie-in with local municipalities and states/provinces could really help this idea take off. The design is a bit "too much" for a single page, but could really come to life with a proper UX/UI effort (beyond the constraints of a short, 2 day hack, of course. The utility companies might love to get involved with a project like this, good luck! Also, what about Smart Devices? Maybe an integration with smart faucets or connected water lines... cool!

It would have a high impact in California. The gamification aspect will make it less boring for users to enter data.
