Use your phone to scan each of your grocery items and pay for them with PayPal or Bit Coin. Best viewed in Android Google Chrome! We made a web app that feels "native"; but it all runs in a browser. Special thanks to Microsoft for our hosting, Windows Azure. Our barcode scanner port automatically reads/decodes the given barcode on the fly. The user doesn't have to open the camera app, upload the photo, wait for the server to read/decode it, and send back the data. The app should be used in a grocery store/convenience store to scan the items you can buy; after scanning all the items, you can pay for the your items through PayPal, BitPay, Smart Money, or any major credit card. After paying you simply walk out the store. Due to time constraints we were not able to implement this. We were 70% there up until code freeze. We plan to continue this in the future after this hackathon.
