+++ Confronted with the problem of not knowing what to do when asked for help on the street, GiveSafe (GS) has created a way to give in seconds without carrying a dollar on hand. GiveSafe builds low-cost, low energy bluetooth wristbands and distributes them to nonprofit shelters (patent pending). The nonprofits issue these wristbands to individuals in need. Citygoers who have the GiveSafe app will then receive a push notification when they pass by or meet one of the individuals, with the option to give $1 or more. Funds from the wristband can be redeemed at a partnered merchant and agency for a service the individual needs to advance their life, such as a tradesman class, a clean haircut, dental or vision correction, as well as basic needs.
