GeoSurge helps businesses, government and emergency services detect and respond to atypical surges. It uses Instagram, Twitter and Eventbrite APIs to detect such anomalies in users' locations. This data is visualised using the Google Maps API. Our data is stored on Parse and our server runs on IBM Bluemix. Future improvements include harnessing the power of Machine Learning and Big Data analytics, as well as Facebook and Foursquare APIs, to make even more accurate predictions about users' geolocation data.
