About
Funpinas is a web application that aims to raise funds on non-profit activities and provide opportunities for large segments of underprivileged people. As we all know, social media is a powerful tool in delivering information, but how far can social media assist in raising funds. Most social media users will basically share their stories in social networking sites and shared by their friends who took notice and the ripple effect will commence. Have we really done anything to help them besides sharing their life experiences on social media? Funpinas serves as a stepping stone for everyone to help and contribute to society. At Funpinas, the public is invited to publish their stories and set awareness of the status of their welfare. Our team is comprised of volunteers to verify and check the validity of the beneficiary. We will also set a goal to be reached within a certain period of time and if the goal is reached, additional gifts or incentives will be given in the form of groceries or gift vouchers, specifically sponsored by Funpinas in collaboration with sponsored companies. If the goal is not achieved within the specified due date, the fund will still go to the beneficiary, but without any additional incentives. Funpinas will then ensure that the fund is given to the beneficiary with the presence of selected witnesses.. Pictures will be taken and posted to our site once every fund is successfully released. Besides that, we will be working closely with local NGOs, local government units, and foundations to create a transparent service to the community.
