The inventory process only take time at the first time because you have to tell the system what the box contains. At the second time and next, the processing time is almost non-existant (only put it on the scale in ~1 sec) and it will automatically update everything. The box is very cheap, it's just an RFID tag (~10 cent) attached to any box that you have.

we also write a small program that work with windows tablet in order to ease the job of inputting ingredient the first time, so it's a little bit like 5sec/one box.

Is it scalable? Do I need to buy a box for every ingredient I have? You need to make the whole inventory process a lot easier to manage.

It's scalable cause you can easily find everything you need for the product in the market today with cheap price. Scale we used costs around $7, many Vietnamese housewife has it at home. The whole hardware price is about $32 in the market.

As Son said, RFID tag can easily be bought for less than 10cents and you can easily attach it to the box you currently had. If so, we can sell the software to use the scale :)
