The date of commencement of EXCITE 2016 is 26-05- 2016
The venue for the programme is JNTUH (Kukatpally campus) and the programme will be
conducted for 5 weeks ( 6 days a week -Monday to Saturday) 9.00am to 5.00pm
- Please plan your accommodation and food on your own. You could use the canteen in JNTU
campus
It is mandatory to be present on all the days punctually to continue in the programme
Each team is expected to get their own laptop (minimum one laptop per team)
The students of Maker space are expected to get their own Raspberry Pie boards and other
relevant inventory. Additional sensors based on the product idea selected will be provided.
Your current ideas may be changed based on validation by mentors.
The programme shall start with an idea presentation contest and all participants are expected to
come with atleast three ideas on May 26 th . So a team of three members will totally have 9 ideas.
The format of how you present the idea is shared in the next point.
- Each idea should be created in a power point presentation with 6 slides. The following is the
expected order of slides:
a. Slide 1: Cover slide: Name , College Name
b. Slide 2: What is the problem you are solving
c. Slide 3: Who is your target audience
d. Slide 4: What is the current scenario/existing solutions which are close to this
e. Slide 5: What are the most important features of your solution
f. Slide 6: what technologies are you planning to use in this solution
Ensure all the solutions /ideas being proposed are broadly under IoT or Android category.
Please ensure the ideas you select deal with real world problems and research through existing
solutions and validate with some potential users before proposing it.
- Once the programme starts. You should update your status daily on a portal/tool provided by
the organizing team
- Kindly note this programme is not a training programme. While you will be given some
technology workshops and mentoring on specific problems, you should be prepared to do
complete your work with self-learning and peer learning.
On successful completion of the complete programme, you will be awarded a certificate.
A detailed Day wise schedule, agenda additional inputs will be given on Day 1 of the
programme.
