Patients wait too long for pain medication in the emergency room (ER), and many who go never get their pain addressed, thus making US ERs "torture ERs". This actually has nothing to do with cost; it is due to organizational issues, as well as the lack of our ability to gather data about this problem. This app allows patients to track when they get pain meds in the ER so health care reformists like me can analyze the data, benchmark hospitals, and directly target disrupting this public health problem.
