TEAM DETAILS : A.Venkatesh (9603211562) (avenkatgoud501@gmail.com) R.varishma(8106589087)(varishmar@gmail.com) P.mamatha(9618241408)(mamatha.pitta@yahoo.in) (1) Name of our product Detecting smokers in non-smoking areas. (2) what problem it is solving? Our problem is focusing on detecting smokers in Non-smoking areas (especially in public places, hostels). It is highly impossible to stop smoking. But we can create a fear in people atleast not to smoke in some defined places. (3) List out statistics/authentic reports/any information online which justifies the problem you are trying to solve is a real problem. India is a home to 12% of world smokers. Many people are totally addicted to it. According to a recent study conduced by Yale University, USA, smoking is more harmful for teenagers. The people who start smoking at an early age reduces from certain disabilities. Their speed and accuracy to grasp information reduces and it becomes difficult to retain it in their mind. According to Leslie Jacobsen, Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine, “Adolescent smokers were found to have impairments in accuracy of working memory performance”. Smoking makes adolescents lethargic and slow. if a government cares for the health of its citizens, it should rise above the economic consideration and find a way out for this. So, the government should ban smoking at least in public places. In India, the government has already implemented this policy in some parts of the country. It has also strictly instructed that children below 18 years of age should not be employed in tobacco industries. They cannot sell tobacco for their livelihood. However, banning smoking in public places will give some justice to the non-smokers. ). It is highly impossible to stop smoking. But we can create a fear in people atleast not to smoke in some defined places. (4) List out the people /stake holders with their names and role/designation with who you have discussed the problem. hostel managers company securities mall securities (5) Who is(are) your target audience /users of the system Anyone who have smoke restricted zones can have this system and can manage it. Especially public places administrative govt departments hostel managers companies (6) What are the key features of your solution portability. We can arrange this product anywhere according to our need  Affordable cost  Easily accessible. (7) What are existing solutions (do not show your competition in poor light! List out solutions which are closest to your solution. Give precise details with name , cost, url etc)  smoke detective alarms . But they are not able to catch the smokers red-handedly. They just give a sound when smoke is detected. Due to this limited feature, the person may escape from that place. (8) How does your solution compare with existing solutions/competition on Features our product detects the smoke by using a sensor whenever the smoke is detected. Then immediately the device which is connected to sensor will capture the location of that place and notification+image will be send to the administrative of that place through the application. So that the respective further action will be taken (punishment, fine…etc) (9) How does your solution compare with existing solutions/competition on cost Comparatively equal. (10) How does your solution compare with existing solutions/competition on size it takes less space to arrange it comparatively (11) How does your solution compare with existing solutions/competition on choice of technology we are using IOT and android technology to make it more advancable. (12) Draw the technology architecture of your solution + (13) Identify the important technology components of your solution sensor camera raspberry pi mobile (14) What is your strategy for getting first 10 customers We met some people . But 40% of people that we met told that we don’t need that much high security on smoking because it has become very common now a days. But some people suggested that it will useful for defined places where smoking is strictly prohibited . They also told that we can strictly create fear in people by catching them red-handedly. So that we are confident that we will meet some more people and we will explain them about our product and certainly we will get more customers
