SO, WHAT IS IT? A HACKATHON TOASTING THOSE WHO DARE TO DREAM

Beer is the original social network, bringing people together for thousands of years.

As the world's leading beer brand, Budweiser is deconstructing and reinventing innovative and technological advances that push the boundaries of the food and beverage industry.

WHY ATTEND?

Not much is better than beer, coding and food!

Join the company behind Budweiser, Corona, Stella Artois, Cider, Leffe and many more brands for a weekend of hacking and brewing your dreams.

Not to mention, your team will have the opportunity to pitch your tech idea to the world's leading brewer!

Attendees will have access to partner APIs which will help guide teams in creating viable prototypes addressing three key challenges:

The first place team will receive S$2,000 and Apple iWatches

Second Place Team: S$1,000 + Cherokey 4wd Robot Kits

Third Place Team: S$500 + Insectbot Kits

Immediate Qualification: The top 3 winning teams directly qualify for the Budweiser Dream Brewery Pitch Day on Friday, November 13th (pitch your tech and your team could win: S$25,000 funding, incubation & partnership opportunities)

THE RULES

Hackathon participants must be over 18 years Fresh Code – to keep things fair, all teams start coding at the same time Ownership & IP – all teams own the code they create Team Size – teams can consist of 2 to 5 people Submission – all projects need to be listed by Sunday, November 8th at 1 PM Most importantly: respect each other & have fun! JUDGING CRITERIA

Hackathon submissions will be judged on 4 main criteria. Teams can earn 1 to 5 points per criteria, for a total maximum score of 20 points. Simplicity (5 points): Is the application simple to use and can the team explain it clearly in three sentences or less? Creativity (5 points): How creative was the team in developing an innovative solution for the challenge? Impact (5 points): Did the team create an application that can have a real and valuable impact? Design (5 points): Was the UX/UI intuitive and appealing?)
