Design principle of this device is to make it work without the internet and backend cloud services, being self contained and very hackable. Yet, highly integrate-able and working out of the box. The main strength of the device is self sufficiency and ability to communicate peer to peer with any other device on the local network. The device itself is modelled as typical controller which suits variety of use cases. It has an environment sensor which can sense temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. This is provided to software PID controller which than can control heating and cooling system using local output relays as well as trigger remotely other device which which could supply the heat, scenario suitable for central heating control with local electrically controlled valves. The temperature is set using rotary encoder.
