Pick a sheet of paper, grab a pen(don't bother uncapping it) , turn on your webcam and voila you are good to go. CleanSlate is a novel way to write notes. It uses cutting edge computer vision to observe what you trace out on a piece of paper and displays it on your computer screen. A few questions that our mentors asked Why not just use a camera? A camera won't be able to arrange the text into slides like done in a digital slate. Plus in the future, we aim to convert these annotations into digital text in real time. Why not just use a simple OCR then instead of this product? Since we will be tracking the handwriting word by word in order. We'll have much more data and much more accuracy in detecting digital text.

Sir when lectures are given to around 100 and above students. Professors use digital tablets to write on so that the handwriting can be projected on big screens.

A professor, however, can't write on a phone and they need big screens and tablets to write on. Any phone's screen cannot replace them, but our idea can with a phone's camera, any pen and a sheet of paper!

As we mentioned in out pitch, we aim to target all educational institutions. This idea, In its current stage, has the potential to replace expensive tablets that annotate handwriting on slides.

This has been done hundreds of time since 10 years. not original at all. Portronics already sells a device. A company in the US sells this for a long time targetting students in the US. Nothing new here at all.

We had a look at portronic ruffpad. It's a tablet in itself. All other are hardware products. We achieve the same with the video captured from any camera.

Sir any educational institution would be willing to buy a cheaper alternative to buying an expensive digital tablet for each class. This idea just needs a camera, pen and paper. Even a phones camera will do.

We as students find new professors always struggling to work on digital tablets, since each company has their own software and setting up to project the tablet on screen.
