The Pre-Capital One Hackathon session is a virtual session hosted via WebEx on TBD from 6:30 pm PST to 8:30 pm EST (for Washington, DC event) and July 29, 2015 from 6:30 pm PST to 8:30 pm PDT (for San Francisco event). Capital One will propose the hackathon challenge, introduce their technology and answer any questions to help ensure an amazing experience.

API Sponsors and technology partners will get 20 minutes to speak about their challenge and their technology. The purpose of this sessions is to prime the attendees, excite the attendees and also allow opportunity to Q&A. It’s important to remember that not all attendees will attend this, in fact we anticipate 20-30 attendees total, however those who do show-up are regarded as very important developers who are taking extra initiative to learn more about the event and sponsoring companies. If sponsors choose to present then screen sharing option will be available.

The session will be hosted on webex (the url will be sent via calendar invite to the designated evangelist) ticket holders will be invited and the session will also be made public via social media.

What is the Fresh Code Rule?
All code developed as part of the Capital One Hackathon must be fresh. Before the start of the Capital One Hackathon, developers can create wireframes, designs and user flows. They can also come with hardware. But to keep things fair, all code must be written onsite at the Capital One Hackathon. Other than that, almost anything goes and you can use any coding languages or open-source libraries.
