Payment terminals are ubiquitous in modern society, enabling us to pay for anything we want with a credit card. But as the consumers behaviors are changing, merchants are always struggling to accept alternate payment methods and currencies requiring additional hardware and setup. Poynt Smart Terminal is a multi-purpose payment terminal that enables merchants to accept credit card through various interfaces (EMV, NFC, MSR, etc.). "Boynt" an open source Bitcoin payment engine for android devices enabling the merchants to accept bitcoin payments on the same payment terminal that they use for their card payment processing needs. Boynt currently using blockchain APIs for provisioning and reconciling bitcoin payments but will be enhanced to support any bitcoin wallet in the future. Code will be open sourced on github for others to extend/enhance.
