A mobile app coupled with a web platform which together act as a preventive intervention for Gender and Sexual violence. The app also reduces the time to access medical help for survivors of sexual violence which is 72 hours.

We have information on the app on how you can react in different situations and how you can protect yourself and your friends. There currently isn't a map for listing the GBV help centers in the country, we hope to be the first working with GVRC to solve this. We are currently in talks with them.

This is an awesome hack. The GVRC are using the data collected by #TeamBonga to map out centers currently. I have reviewed the app and seen it being discussed in tech circles. It solves the issue of privacy and preserving dignity of the survivors of abuse which is the main barrier for reporting cases of SGBV. Making the map open source is a really cool feature you have introduced.

Not enough information on how the app acts as a preventive intervention to Gender violence. Speaks more of reactionary measures. They need to think about how to create awareness of gender violence, how to identify such scenarios and how to prevent them.
The features on the app are great for reactionary measures; emergency center mapping, safety circles for SOS messages, etc.

More work needed to identify the specific barriers around women reporting assault and overcoming these, ie. through pre-education in the app. Great that there is already a proprietary list of help centres, as this develops would like to see this include more information ie. whether the centre is religiously based etc.

-Needs to leverage on existing platforms like intergrate with GVRC centres and hospitals.
