The event will bring together students, practioners, IT gurus, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and tech afficianados to explore the many broad opportunites available in tech as a professional and a producer; as well as learn about disruptive technologies and emerging trends.
#HUHACKS Hackathon is an event coordinated by the Howard University School of Business (Information Systems) and School of Engineering (Computer Science) that is themed the "Startup Ecosystem." The Hackathon will encourage participants to develop applications and innovations in any part of industry where startups have disrupted exisitng business models. We will be hosting some introductory boot camps to get you up to speed on the basics of building an app, developing a business plan, and a sales pitch. Keep your eyes and ears open, and you'll learn more here in 24 hours than you ever would in school. Hackathons are as much a learning experience as they are a competition.
