About
This is an OpenSource(both hardware and software) Framwork for Augment reality headset based in Linkit 7688 Duo. Currently this headset has a HUD display which can display notifications, details, etc and has a inbuilt camera on the HUD which can be used to capture/record your precious moments adding to this. It also has an audio out/in where the users can actually talk to the headset and automate many process like recording a video or play a song etc. It also has a couple of other sensors(modular sensor where one can develop application over it) which can be monitored in the cloud using WiFI AP. Here I am using a normal 3mm acrylic sheet which has been cut to build the AR headset. The problem which i faced is correcting the focal point of the eye which is around 15- 20 cm. so have to go through lot of iterations in optics part to build a AR headset and came up with the design. For the display i used 0.96" OLED display with the top layer screen removed to give maximum lumen to be refracted to the AR headset. Now the headset can take video, photos by using voice command and a web app. In the course of the week i am planning to integerate MindWave sensor to use the eye blink and EEG wave for user interaction.
