My Program provides the basis for creating simple Oculus Rift astrophysics simulations. These all simulate Einstein's special relativity very accurately, using the appropriate mathematics, as well as an adjusted speed of light. Simulations like these are useful to astrophysics researchers, as it offers an alternate way to experience the science. Astrophysics is, in general, an extremely popular science among the public. This project was built in Unity, so is easily adapted for many devices, including mobile. This lends itself to the more consumer friendly Google Cardboard. This project includes a very simple simulation of a star and demonstrates red shift. It provides some of the mathematical and graphical basis for my initial and future intentions, which were/are to simulate a black hole with VR. I believe this will be very popular with the public, especially if I port this into a mobile app. Everybody has a smartphone, and the Google cardboard is $25.
