CityConnect & Bluechilli

Challenge: Our cities are changing. From transportation to work to play, the places where we spend the most time are evolving each and every day. What would you like to see from your future city? What if we took this weekend to build it?

As part of the CityConnect accelerator program, BlueChilli is looking for ground-breaking ideas that will solve an urban challenges (for example in transport, housing, or the way we work or trade).

Prize: 

$2000 cash prize.
Rocket ship entry to proceed directly into the CityConnect bootcamp, exclusive to up to 30 top candidates of the program’s 500+ applicants. After the intense two-week validation bootcamp 10 out of the 30 participants will be selected for a $100,000 investment and invited to join a world class 6-month accelerator program

The BlueChilli Experience

As Australia’s leading accelerator we know A LOT. We live and breathe startups and entrepreneurship every single day. Whether it is general business advice, marketing, developing products, design work, pitch coaching, preparing startups for investment. We do it all!

For the most inspiring idea at the hackathon we therefore offer our expertise - split amongst your team, we will offer you up to a day shadowing our team and speaking to experts and/or attending our in-house workshops. Come and ask us anything and we will mentor and advise. We have also teamed up with Brisbane’s new hot co-working space, Valley Iconic, and as part of this prize you will also be offered 3 months free desk space at their amazing office, which includes a rooftop bar

The Tech Challenge

Want to just build something amazing? The judges will determine one team who has built out the coolest, sweetest tech at the hack and award them the Tech Challenge Prize.

Microsoft

The HoloLens Experience

Come and experience Microsoft’s revolutionary HoloLens! A team with an amazing tech build in Unity gets to experience the HoloLens at the Microsoft QLD office.

At the hackathon teams can win multiple prizes. This prize can for example be combined with the BlueChilli “Tech Challenge” to add another $2000 prize to the winner.

Sphero

Sphero devices are made to be hacked! There are infinite possibilities to do be done with the Sphero SPRK+. Attendees will have access to devices during the hackathon and we invite you to work on any solution that unleashes the power of the robotic ball.

Prize:
