13/06/2018 - We have decided to make some alterations in our product, i.e we will be creating our very own bluetooth beacon and we will customize it to make it compatible with our application and instead of making an incision in the cattle and putting our BLE inside of the cattle, we will instead make it into a very small compact form and it can be worn on the cattle like an earring. The reason we have chose to do this is because once our beacon is inside the cattle, the battery does not give a long lifetime, hence it would become difficult for the farmer to charge it and hence we are designing it in such a way the farmer can easily charge it with ease, and without having to go through any complex procedures in order to do so.

24/05/2018 - We have surveyed 25 farmers in a known village of Metpally and around 15 farmers have said that this is a problem that they are facing quite frequently.

Pitch Desk: Our product will help farmers track their cattle through the concept of crowdsourcing and it can also help book vaccination appointments for the cattle.

The struggles we are facing is how to use BLE and code in such a way to provide information of the cattle such as ownership details and vaccination details of the cattle.

We later decided to use the concept of crowdsourcing along with bluetooth low energy devices/chips for the use of tracking the cattle based on the last location it was connected to a bluetooth device (smartphone).

As we were progressing with our idea, we were facing a challenge as we cannot use RFID solely to track cattle and that there is a need of external hardware and setting up posts with RFID scanners to track the cattle which can be very cost-effective and would require maintaining it at regular intervals.

There are already products that make use of RFID tags to provide location, but they are very expensive and they can easily be tampered with. We are looking to provide a solution where the RFID chip cannot easily be tampered with and is affordable by the farmer.

22/05/2018 - Found a solution of using RFID to find ownership of the cattle, and did research about the various ways the RFID can be used and what kind of RFID should be used for this solution.

17/05/2018 - Went to survey our customers (farmers) to find out if this problem happens to them frequently or not, and got a response of 4 farmers out of 6 saying that it was indeed a problem that they were facing.

16/05/2018 - We have come up with the idea of solving a problem related to tracking of cattle and solving ownership of the cattle.
