Our envisioned use case is to have a technician in the field wear the Canon modular camera (e.g. on a helmet), and be able to use Skype or similar video conferencing app to talk to a remote expert who will see the point of view of the technician. In this hackathon we've modified the Moto G4 Android camera stack to use the Canon MM100WS wirelessly, as if it was a built-in camera. This allows not just Skype, but any existing Android app to work with the Canon camera.
