Hallar aims to be a trusted middleman in helping people apply their language learning in face-to-face situations. By providing a small monetary incentive, the app wants to encourage people to get together and help them gain more confidence in reaching out to others.

The escrow solution for language coaches is helpful. However, it does not help users compare and match with coaches besides what they want to learn.

Product wise, looked unfinished and unusable, less than MVP, although connection dropping at the end didn't seem fair. Answered questions very well. Biz wise, very difficult to scale.

Disappointing since I wasn't able to see their demo due to lack of internet. Basic design. Also, weirdly web-based for a chat platform (just to meet up).
