HerzAlerts uses iBeacon technology to track a renter's journey through the rental process. By engaging the renter throughout their trip, we can help them every step of the way. There is much to gain in both customer satisfaction and efficiency with this system. Our system incorporates a smart phone app as well as a customer service portal for Hertz employees. These systems share data which allows for customer service agents to focus on the customers who need extra attention while also streamlining the rental experience for more experienced renters. From the moment you arrive at a Hertz location, the app begins providing contextually aware content which can be acted on immediately. We give Hertz customer service agents information on how long customers wait at specific locations in the trip, provide estimated bus arrivals, and provide access to agents when they are needed most. We work with Hertz APIs to manage reservations, we work with Yelp APIs to recommend hotels, restaurants, and other points of interest nearby, and we have endpoints in place for integration with Moj.io to provide data that streamlines check-in of the rental car. In short, the system creates customer value and solves many of the pain points in car rental.
