About

DementiAway is a portal for dementia patients to help them with their daily tasks. There are added features such as information about their caregivers, basic information about themselves and even games for them to play that would keep their brain active! It comes together with a bracelet that has a QR Code which would reveal basic information such as name, age and mobile number of caregiver. This bracelet would be on the patient at all times so that if they happened to get lost, a stranger can simply scan the QR Code then give a call to the patient's caregiver to inform them. Noble cause. Big TAM. Need to think through how to prevent mis-use?

Concerns re: whether elderly are tech savvy enough to use and remember to use the app. How will a stranger get access to the app if an elderly person is lost (IE: pulling out their phone? wont that cause panic by the elderly if a stranger is trying to take their phone?). Very helpful product and a very noble cause by the user experience needs a lot of work.
