About this event

Turn decentralized impact innovations into crypto assets!

ICO for Impact Hackathon is an eight (8) week virtual Blockchain event offering opportunities to developers , designers, and enthusiasts in the impact space to design and hack together minimum viable working decentralized applications (Dapps) that utilize blockchain technologies.

Beyond Capital Markets promotes innovation within: Agriculture, Health & Wellness, Fintech, Climate Innovation, Education and Smart Cities.

Participation: Participate from anywhere in the world!

The Hackathon is open to: -Individuals or Teams from our accelerator cohorts -Organisations ( NGOs, not-for-profits foundations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other legal entities that exist and have been organized or incorporated at the time of entry, and employ no more than 30 people.

Technology Stack: Teams are free to use our suite of blockchain APIs, Stellar, Ripple, Lightning Network, Cosmos, MasterCard Blockchain, Ethereum, IOTA - BlockApps STRATO, MIcrosoft Azure, IBM Blockchain & Cloud

Awards: Winners will be announced during the ICO for Impact Summit on February 16th 2017.

The best ideas will be showcased on our medium blog.

All hackers will be required to submit their solutions on hackathon.io, including a short 2-3 minute video demo about their project.

Finalists from the Hackathon will be selected by a panel of experts.

Judges will be announced in the coming weeks.

Judging

Each submission will be scored in each round based on the following criteria with a minimum score of 0 and maximum score of 5 points, with the final score being the average of the judges’ scores:

30% Completeness & ability to demo

30% Use case for blockchain technology & cryptocurrency

20% Measure of Impact

20% Originality
