About this event

In 2015 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (in Cambridge, MA) and the University of Cambridge (in Cambridge, UK), jointly launched “Cambridge 2 Cambridge”, a cybersecurity challenge. Announced by US President Barack Obama and UK Prime Minister David Cameron in the context of greater cybersecurity collaboration between the two countries, the competition gave students the opportunity to explore creative ways to combat global cyber attacks and hone crucial skills.

The initial challenge was limited to MIT and University of Cambridge, but to expand on the success of the inaugural event, the ‘capture-the-flag’ style hackathon is now open to additional universities in the US and UK. Interested students need to register and participate in a national-level online qualifying round April 1-2, 2017. Qualifying students will be assigned to blended teams with US and UK participants to compete in a three-day challenge.

The live event will take place at the 800-year-old University of Cambridge July 24-26, 2017. Do not miss your chance to compete in C2C 2017.
